The basset hound rescue tristate clubs are run by breeders and will usually have a photo of any available dogs.
In some circumstances, the breed owner has to give up a pet because of a particular situation. The situations may be variable, from an allergy to the dog's hair to moving to another country.
Adoptive owners are normally asked to make a donation to cover the expenses. Donations are always welcomed, as it is a nonprofit organization, relying on fund-raising events.

This is an organization that takes care of the dogs in need and tries to find new homes for them. Until new loving families are found, the needy dogs are provided with necessary veterinary care, which includes spaying or neutering.
